Formación de Capital Humano

Supervision experience encompasses all levels: 11 BsC, 11 Ms and 1 PhD; and covers many nationalities (American, Irish, English, French, Brazilian, Portuguese).

Teaching experience includes: BSc, MSc and PhD; in Chilean, American, French, Portuguese and international institutions as an invited lecturer. Besides my present academic appointment at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, my participation in the PGCD PhD program, where I organised and lectured in Cape Verde, is of particular relevance.

I have given invited talks at different institutions such as the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute (Panama) or the French Ichthyological Society (France)

I have also organised international meetings at symposia:
2017 Organizer of the Symposium on Connectivity and Dispersal in the Indo-Pacific in the Indo-Pacific Fish Conference, Tahiti 2nd-6th October (https://ipfc10.criobe.pf) .
2013 Organizer of the Symposium on Population Ecology in the European Society for Evolutionary Biology ESEB congress, Lisbon 19th-24th August (www.ESEB2013.com/).

Have reviewed papers for many journals that publish in my fields of expertise: Marine Ecology progress Series, Frontiers in Marine Science, Ecology Letters, OIKOS, Biology Letters, Molecular Ecology, Molecular Phylogenetic and Evolution, Proceedings of the Royal Society of London B, Marine Ecology, PLoS One, Journal of Fish Biology, Conservation Genetics, Journal of Experimental Marine Biology and Ecology, Marine Biology, Journal of Sea Research, Marine Pollution Bulletin (at an average of 5 papers per year)
