I'm responsable of Darío González, a post-doctoral research fellow at the Center for Mathematical Modeling of the Universidad de Chile.
I have taught many courses for undergraduate engineering students:
- Introduction to Calculus, Introduction to Algebra and Linear Algebra at the Facultad de Ciencias Físicas y Matemáticas of Universidad de Chile.
- Differential Calculus and Integral Calculus at the Universidad Federico Santa María.
I have also taught many courses and participated in training programs for pre-service and in-service teachers:
- Mathematical Modeling at the Universidad de O'Higgins (pre-service teachers).
- Several courses of the Suma y Sigue program at the Universidad de Chile (in-service teachers)
I'm currently in charge of the selection process of school teams that represent a Chile at the International Mathematical Modeling Challenge (IMMC). For the process, I coordinate the design of modeling problems, the evaluation of the team solutions and the participation of teams.
I was coordinator of the outreach activities of the project Núcleo Milenio "Información y Coordinación en Redes", of which I was an researcher. We have started an alliance with the Campeonato Escolar de Matemáticas CMAT, a national student competition that attempts to improve student's abilities and skill in problem solving in mathematics. One of the activities was a couple of courses for the school teachers that help with the competition, where I taught the course of Combinatorics.
